Chairman’s Message

On behalf of The Colony Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and staff, welcome to our community.

It is our desire that you find this website as a resource and that it will give you access to over 200 chamber members in our community, events, and important information about our city.  The chamber is here to assist you with a variety of needs including, but not limited to, living, shopping, dining, and most importantly, doing business.

Our community is blessed with many great opportunities to live, work, play, and shop, but the people here truly make the difference.

The Lewisville Independent School District is well known for its strong commitment to academics as well as a diverse offering of extracurricular activities.  The City of The Colony utilizes every measure available to make sure businesses thrive and that our economy is successful.

Outdoor enthusiasts will love our numerous parks in The Colony, golf courses, sand volleyball courts, a waterpark, and over 13 miles of shoreline running trails along beautiful Lake Lewisville with access to boating and fishing.  The city also offers a wide, year-round range of sporting and community activities for the entire family.

Businesses of all sizes have a presence in The Colony.  These range from small entrepreneurial ventures to corporations with more than a thousand employees.  Grandscape is a main attraction being developed by Berkshire Hathaway and is a 400-acre space already attracting people and businesses from all over the country.  It is only partially completed and is already bringing thousands of visitors weekly.

We have a great selection of retail stores, restaurants, and entertainment.  The Colony is home to the largest furniture store in the country, Nebraska Furniture Mart.  Dining options range from national chain selections to many local favorites, including a bar and restaurant founded by the lead singers of KISS.  We also have a live music venue with an outdoor amphitheater hosting shows nightly.

We hope you will spend time with us and explore all that our community has to offer.  We also hope you will become part of our business community through The Colony Chamber of Commerce and call The Colony home.

We look forward to serving you.

Chairman, The Colony Chamber of Commerce
