2010 Chamber Ambassador Program
Who are the Chamber Ambassadors?
The Colony Chamber Ambassadors are a special group of people who volunteer their time to help promote the The Colony business community and support Chamber functions. Ambassadors are usually the most outgoing, pro-active employees in their company. They project a positive image for the company they represent as well as for the Chamber. Ambassadors perform a wide variety of duties in the Chamber, but their main function is to help promote the Chamber, welcome new Partners to the Chamber and make Chamber events successful and enjoyable for our Partners.

GO Ambassadors!
Why become a Chamber Ambassador?
Being a Chamber Ambassador puts you and your business in the spotlight! Ribbon cutting photos are printed on the Chamber's page in The Colony Connection Magazine which is distributed quarterly to over 14,000 residents. Ribbon cuttings and other Chamber events also provide a great opportunity to have a few minutes of fun and network with other leaders in the community. Remember, Chamber Ambassadors are often the first community representative a new business owner meets so it’s the perfect opportunity to make new business connections.
How can you benefit from being an Ambassador?
The Chamber’s Ambassador Program is highly respected in the community and allows for the professional growth of each participant. Ambassadors are given the opportunity to network with regional business and government leaders. By being involved, your sphere of influence & professional network will grow! Also, many of our Ambassadors move on to participate in other Chamber and civic leadership roles as a result of their involvement in this critical Partnership development role.
Benefits of Being an Ambassador
During your tenure as an Ambassador, you will experience the following returns:
• Greater visibility for your business
• Immediate access to new businesses in The Colony community
• Opportunity for direct input to the Chamber
• Lasting business relationships and friendships
• Leadership opportunities within the Chamber and community
Being and Ambassador works
As an Ambassador, you have the unique opportunity to network with The Colony and surrounding area business community. Make the most of your Ambassador experience by gaining exposure for yourself and your business at every event. The ribbon cutting you attend today could become your biggest client tomorrow. Bring business cards or other promotional materials to each event - you never know who you will meet that wants to become your next customer.
Requirements
Chamber Ambassadors are asked to promote the Chamber in the community, help the Chamber staff and host special events, attend ribbon cuttings, ground breakings, regularly scheduled mixers, luncheons, dinners and Friday Focus, and volunteer for special events including the golf tournaments, Pirate Days, Business Expos, parades and banquets.
