Message from the Chairman
Mr. Richard Wilson

I am deeply honored to be selected as the next Chairman of The Colony Chamber of Commerce. As Chairman, I hope to work with all members involving concerns and improvements for OUR Chamber of Commerce of The Colony. Remember, this is your organization. It is here to help improve business for your company whether you work from home or have a business store front. The Chamber of Commerce is here to open the door for your business. It is up to you to put your foot in.

In 2010, there will be changes. As time marches on, so must the Chamber. We, as an organization, must work together for the Common Good for the business community. This also includes the community in general. This is our city. To do this, our members must pay there dues on time, recruit new members, keep abreast of events, and Be Active!  The chamber website is updated daily with events and sponsorship opportunities to help you promote your business. 

The newly elected board will be active in creating new events and improve on some old ones. Some of these events will involve community participation. As a member, you can help in creating these new events. To be active, get involved in some of the events by sponsoring those that can benefit your company. Whether the event is a networking meeting or community based, your company will be advertised and credited for the success of the event. This gets your name out there. And, these events are incredible fun and a great networking opportunity.

The Chamber will be celebrating its 30 year anniversary in promoting business development, economic growth, and quality of life in The Colony. With this, we are unveiling our new chamber logo which will begin to roll-out in our mediums. 

The Chamber of Commerce is there for you. Nothing is free though. It takes all of us to make it a success. I hope by this time next year we can look back and be proud of how all of our organizations have grown.
